25 Excellent Jokes About Christmas In Video Form

Between about 2018 and 2020 I put a bunch of Christmas jokes, in video form, on Twitter, as a kind of advent calendar. They largely sank without a trace but I enjoyed doing them — until about the 9th of December, at which point (despite nobody watching them or having any investment in them) it would start to feel like a really high-pressure thing and I’d get all stressed.

In 2021 I chose the best (“the best”) and put them into one video, complete with not-quite-perfect on-screen numbers. Then I tried to work out how to do subtitles — proper ones, not the ones where YouTube listens and guesses — and got a bit confused and abandoned it.

Until now. Jokes written between 2017 and 2020, mostly shit in Barking when I looked slightly less beaten-down by life, video edited in 2021, subtitles imperfectly coded (I’ll fix them when I can, and I’ll improve the thumbnail, I’m writing this in a McDonald’s in Norfolk on my way to a children’s ballroom dancing contest, GET OFF MY BACK, I just didn’t want to miss the beginning of Advent, WHERE’S MY LUNCH?) in 2024.
